NYC RSVPs App for ChatGPT and Claude
Find out when reservations open at popular New York City restaurants, from inside ChatGPT or Claude.
What It Does
The app uses the same restaurant data as this website. You can:
- Search the restaurants we track by name, cuisine, neighborhood, or booking platform.
- Get the exact date and time that reservations open for a dining date.
- See restaurants in a card. For a dining date, the card shows up to three options with the exact opening time and a "Book" button (when booking is open) or a "Remind me" button. Without a date, it shows up to six restaurants with how far ahead each one releases tables.
"Book" opens the restaurant's booking page (for example, Resy or OpenTable). "Remind me" asks ChatGPT or Claude to set a reminder or calendar event for you. The app itself does not create reminders, book tables, or take payments.
Who It Is For
People who want a table at a popular New York City restaurant and need to know when to book.
How to Add It
- ChatGPT: Open the plugin directory, search for "NYC RSVPs", and connect it.
- Claude: Open the connectors directory, search for "NYC RSVPs", and connect it. You can also add it as a custom connector with this server URL:

The app does not need an account or sign-in.
Example Prompts
- "When can I book Carbone, 4 Charles Prime Rib, or Don Angie for Saturday, December 12?"
- "When do Don Angie reservations open for dinner on Saturday, December 12?"
- "Which Italian restaurants in the West Village do you track, and how far ahead do they book?"
- "When do Lilia and Semma reservations open for Friday, December 11?"
- "Which Korean restaurants do you track, and how far ahead do they book?"
Tools
The app has three tools. All of them are read-only. None of them change data or take action outside the chat.
- search_restaurants: Searches the tracked restaurants by name, cuisine, neighborhood, or booking platform. It returns each restaurant's release rule; the card calculates exact times.
- render_reservation_options: Shows restaurants in a card. With a dining date: up to three, with opening times and a "Book" or "Remind me" button. Without a date: up to six, with each release rule.
- prepare_reminder: Prepares the details for a reminder (restaurant, release time, and booking link). ChatGPT or Claude then creates the reminder with its own tools, if it has them.
Limits
- The app covers only the restaurants we track (about 68 in New York City).
- All times are Eastern Time.
- Restaurants can change their reservation policies at any time. Check the booking page if timing is critical.
- The app never books a table or takes payment.
Troubleshooting
- No results: Try the restaurant's name, or a broader cuisine or neighborhood. The restaurant may not be on our list.
- "Date in the past": The dining date has already passed. Give a future date. Include the year if the date could be ambiguous.
- A dialog appears when you click "Book": ChatGPT or Claude may ask you to confirm before it opens an external site. Confirm to open the booking page.
- "Remind me" does not create a reminder: Reminders depend on the host app. ChatGPT or Claude must have calendar or task tools turned on. If it does not, add the release time to your calendar yourself.
Data and Privacy
The app has no sign-in. We do not receive your name, email address, or chat messages. We record each tool call (the tool name, its inputs, and technical details such as the host app and approximate location) to run and improve the app. We keep these records for up to 24 months.
